Jay Yeater

Jay Yeater is a man of firsts. He is a first generation American, first generation Findlayite and a first class person.
Jay’s mother came from Greece and it was his parent’s ethics that pushed him and his two brothers to give of self and have fun in life.
He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Visual Communications which covers marketing and design. He has used that training and natural skill to advance both his career and help many others with websites and computer technology. He works two jobs being in the IT department at Marathon and a freelance web designer for his own company. He also is known for giving of his own time to help others get started with websites and web design. Jay won the contest for the new Findlay logo on the city’s website.
Jay is married to Emily and they have three children ages 8, 6, and 2 years old. They also have a cat named Benny. Any free-time is spent with his family, especially Sundays which are reserved for family quiet time. He does like to travel and has been to Greece twice and Haiti twice for church building missions.
Jay follows Woody Hayes’ creed, “You win with people” as he is constantly looking how to develop friendships and connections with others.
He is proud to be in Findlay and sees it as “community that has great potential.”
