Nicholas Powell

Nicholas Powell makes no qualms about it; he is a man of God and lives to serve his neighbor. He can be found on most days looking for ways to teach and serve his fellow man. We met where he was setting up all the pictures for the Hancock County Fair. He loves photography and has been the force behind the local “Help Portraits” for several years.

A native of Findlay and a graduate of Findlay High School in 2000, he is a software engineer and product developer with several inventions under his belt. He has studied at Owens and the University of Findlay. He has spent some time in Florida and Columbus before family brought him back home.

He spends most of his time with his new family and his ministry. Married just over a year ago to Jillian, they welcomed their new daughter Naomi seven weeks ago. She joins her siblings Alana, 10 Aaron 8, and Adam 6.
When not with his family he is ministering, volunteering and serving those that need faith in their life. He works close with the his church Cedar Creek and is especially focused on those with addictions and helping them find hope.

His role model is Christ and he tries to emulate Christ’s love of his fellow man.

His favorite motto is to “Love thy neighbor.”

Nicholas describes Findlay as a “city with deep roots awaiting its full potential for a divine harvest.”
