Kelsey Lewis

We met Kelsey Lewis at the Alzheimer’s Walk and chose her because she figuratively and literally stands head and shoulders above the rest. She is a student athlete at the University of Findlay where she plays basketball and is also an academic star being in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor society. Her major is Physical Therapy which is a grueling six year program where she is a 4th year student. She will end with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

She also does well on the court where although she is not the tallest she spend s a lot of time as a center in the “paint” as she is very physical and owns the key! This is her last year of eligibility so go and see her and her teammates play this coming season.

She is also on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee assisting athletes to stay focused and strong in their school work. This group also does a “make a wish” project.

Kelsey is very tight with her family with mom, dad and two brothers that live in Columbus. She also has a dog at home named Clover.

When she gets a little time, which isn’t often, she loves to travel to the mountains and ski downhill courses.

Her quote which drives her is “Failure is not an option.”

Her role model is her basketball coach from 6th grade through high school, Mary Ann Grimes.
Kelsey loves to deflect credit for her success to others such as family and coaches as she is very humble.

She finds Findlay very “friendly and positive and enjoys the interaction between the University and the community.”
