David Seng

David Seng was studying Animal Science and Western Equestrian at the University of Findlay when he began to volunteer at Special Kids Therapy. He was drawn to helping children with disabilities partly because his brother struggles with autism. He became such a constant volunteer he was offered a job there and became hooked.

He completed his degree in 2014 but then took life in a completely different direction. He went through the process of getting his state license to assist adults with disabilities. In the Spring of 2015 opened his own business called Flag City Champions. He calls it a “huge man cave” where adult males with disabilities come in the afternoon and evenings five days a week. They watch movies, play videos, bowl, swim and a variety of other activities. This gives caretakers a respite.

Born and raised in Findlay he graduated from Findlay High School in 2009. His parents are Dr. John and Deb Seng. He has four brothers.

His second passion after helping his “guys” is to work out. He frequents XT Fitness as it is “like therapy for me.” He also likes to collect guns and is especially fond of single action revolvers. He is also picking up a side job as a wine maker for a local winery.

He looks up to his dad as John always “put his kids first even when working insanely long hours, has a great work ethic and taught me to do the job right.”

All the children in his family were assigned a verse when they were young by their mother. David’s is Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ.”
