Lisa Allen

Lisa Allen and her husband Tom are worker bees. They both work full time yet followed a passion and purchased the “The Bakery Café” in May and their life is very full. Lisa is the baker and loves baking cupcakes, cakes, wedding cakes etc. and loves to entertain so owning this café is a perfect niche for her. They made the decision after watching the downtown revitalize in wake of the Marathon expnsion.
She starts her day at 430 a.m., works until 9 a.m. then gets ready for her other job as a Senior Account Executive in Marketing at the Courier newspaper. She has been there 11 years and they treat her like a big family. Her bosses were very supportive of her desire to open the bakery.
She moved to Findlay in 2003 and loves the great community she found here with lots of choices and opportunities . She has two daughters, one 16 and one 13 and this is a very good community for them to grow up in.
What little free time Lisa does have she spends with family, gardening, which is very therapeutic, and remodeling their home. Her husband Tom works in Toledo and helps in the store on Saturdays. While their plate is full they love the challenge.
Lisa found a quote she likens to herself, :The cost of not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had.”
Her roles models are her dad who was a hard worker but always had for family and her Grandma B who is 92 but still going strong and is very giving.
