Brian Robertson

Brian Robertson was in the 7th grade when doctors diagnosed him with a serious birth defect that had the muscles literally pulling the bones out of his body. The prognosis was that after many surgeries, casts and wheel chairs he “might” just be able to walk again. He came home, “knelt down and prayed to God that if he could walk again he would never take anything for granted again.” Following years of rehab including a stint in wheel chairs Brian was able to walk again.
While in a wheelchair he saw a Ironman Triathlon on television and dreamed of being a participant one day. His effort and faith paid off and he has run 10 triathlons to date and has even qualified for the Boston Marathon for the upcoming year.
Brian was raised in a large family with 8 older sisters and 4 older brothers. They lived in the city and were very close. He moved to Findlay after meeting his wife Jane and feeling inspired that this city was where he was supposed to live. They have two grown daughter and two grandbabies.
Brian is a County commissioner, owns a manufacturing company and has always been involved in church and civic activities.

He words of wisdom are. “RFP, Relentless Forward Progress.”
His role model is his mother who” is as close to saint as possible, is still very independent and left the kids with a better life than she had. He had a work ethic installed by “my father who worked two jobs all his life and never complained.”
