Jason Pastor

This is National EMS week so we are spotlighting one of our local EMS workers, Jason Pastor. Jason is a paramedic with Hanco Ambulance company here in Findlay. He has been with them for two years. Prior to that he worked with Medco as an EMT and paramedic. He is a Army veteran where he was a 91Bravo Medical Specialist.
Originally Jason wanted to pursue a career in archeology but after a trial run as an EMT he was hooked. He loves “the opportunity to figure out the puzzles as he assists victims and diagnoses what is wrong and how to help.”

He became a Lieutenant with Hanco a year ago and loves the position. He oversees field training, is the educational coordinator and will soon be certified to train EMT’s and paramedics.

He has a girlfriend who shares his world in emergency medicine as a ambulance dispatcher.

When not coming to the aid of sick and injured people Jason likes to read and playing computer games.

Jason is a PTSD survivor and works to share his story to assist others going through similar situations.

He recognizes three teachers from Bowsher high school in Toledo, Mr Zappitelli, Mr. Wineberg and Mrs. Szewczak as being great influences on his life
