Monique Rodriquez
Monique Rodriquez moved to Findlay from Cleveland when she was 18 to run track and study at the University of Findlay. She ran the sprint medley and 4×4 relay for the university. She received a degree In Social Studies and Psychology.
Monique has a 17 year old daughter she raised as single mom until three years ago when she married Leon.
After managing the local Sprint store for six years she was recruited by Northwestern Mutual to be a Financial Representative. It was a big jump and she landed in a male dominated field but she loves the competition. She had to study hard to get her life and health insurance licenses and enjoys helping other people to find financial security. Eventually she will work her way into investments. It is her goal to serve her clients and educate them, not focus on it being about a reward to herself. She has a legacy from her Sprint years of great customer service that she brings to Northwestern.
She practices, “treating others as you want to be treated, be good to others” and life takes care of itself.
Free time is spent with family, friends, traveling to Cleveland to see her mom and working out, including training for a half-marathon. She just completed a 10K in April.
Her mom is her role model, “Very hardworking, loving and always passionate about what she does. Even though she was a single parent she was always there for us. I got my work ethic from her.”
