Mikaela Hickey

We were invited to greet the 800 new residents of Findlay as they did the arch walk today at the University of Findlay.

We met Mikaela Hickey who has been in town a whopping two days. She is from Belleville, Illinois and received an academic scholarship to the University where she will major in Pharmacy. She will minor in Spanish.
She is also an avid golfer and will be on the golf team. She picked the U of F after she visited for a week during her senior year of high school for pharmacy camp. She loves the status nationally of the program and it made it worth the eight hour move away from her family.

She is the daughter of Chuck and Charleen and has a older sister. She leaves behind two Labs named Sandy and Destiny in the care of her parents.

She was a little nervous but has been meeting very friendly people and the staff at the University has made it very welcoming for her.

She lives by the mantra, “Do your best everyday so you can look back and say you tried your hardest.”
