Tim Mattis

It will be the end of an era when Tim Mattis hangs up his baton at the end of this school year.
He is the Findlay High Band Director and oversees the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, Musical Orchestra, Pantasia, indoor drum line and assists in a choir class. He also teaches a special needs music class. He has been teaching music for the last 21 years in the Findlay City school system.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Bluffton and his Master’s in Music at BGSU.
He has been married for 29 years to Tammie and they have a son and a daughter.
He spends what little free time he has with his family. He has an “adventuresome spirit” and likes to hit the road traveling and meeting new people. He is a noted actor locally and has been in several performances at Fort Findlay Playhouse. Tim would like to do more acting with the time his retirement will free up.
His role model is “my dad who was a man’s man, dedicated to wife and family. He left me a legacy to service to live up to.”
