Joel Rampe
We were privileged to be asked to come to the swearing in of two new Findlay Fire Department Captains this morning.
Mayor Mahalik gave the oath to Joel Rampe, a 11 year veteran of the department. He had worked and still fights fires volunteer with the Kalida volunteer fire department prior to coming to Findlay. He went through Apollo Fire school and the Ohio Fire academy prior to hiring on. He has always wanted to be a firefighter. His dad has been a volunteer for many years and his brother Jeff is also a Captain with the FFD.
Joel is married to Michelle and they have a dog named Sadie. When not fighting fires and being an EMT Joel has his own lawncare/mowing business servicing Findlay and Kalida. He is the asst. Chief in Kalida at the fire dept.
When he has a little free time he loves to golf. He looks up to his dad for leadership and the style of life he set for his family.
